from a Huguenot ancestor born in France before the Edict
of Toleration (1787).
- St.
Nicholas Society of the City of New York, open by sponsored
invitation only to men over 18 years of age lineally descended
from an ancestor who, prior to 1785, was a resident of what
is now the City or State of New York.
- Hereditary
Order of the Families of Presidents and First Ladies of
America, open to lineal and collateral relatives of anyone who has served as President or First Lady of the United States (including Dr. la Montagne's 6th-great-grandson, Theodore Roosevelt, and 7th-great-granddaughter, Eleanor Roosevelt). Also of the Continental Congress, United States in Congress Assembled, Confederate States of America, and Republics of Texas, California, and West Florida.
- Presidential
Families of America, open to lineal and collateral relatives of anyone who has served as President of the United States (including Dr. la Montagne's 6th-great-grandson, Theodore Roosevelt).
- The
Holland Society, open to men who are descendants in
the direct male line of an ancestor who lived in New Netherland
before or during 1675.
- Dutch
Settlers Society of Albany, open to individuals at least
eighteen years of age and descended from a person residing
in Fort Orange, the colony of Rensselaerwyck, or the village
of Beverwyck before 1665, or in other areas subject to the
jurisdiction of the Court of Rensselaerwyck before the establishment
of their own courts.
